Program Manager, EW/EMS Capability Development Planning

Alion Science & Technology is looking for talented, motivated team members to provide technical and programmatic expertise to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Electronic Warfare and Avionics Division, Advanced Capabilities and Strategic Integration Office (AFLCMC/WNY) to support Electromagnetic Warfare/Electromagnetic Spectrum (EW/EMS) Superiority requirements and capability development efforts. The team will provide analysis and capability development strategies for current and future EW/EMS programs spanning the entire Air Force enterprise and individuals will interface with government counterparts to ensure that technical solutions and analysis meet requirements. This position is full-time during normal duty hours at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Travel (less than 20%) is required for this position.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Management, Aeronautical Science, or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university

• 15+ years EW experience (operational and/or acquisition) required; experience managing EW programs highly desired

• Extensive USAF Electromagnetic Warfare knowledge with operational EWO/DSO/WSO/CSO experience desired

• Provide technical and operational requirements analysis to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in support of Capability Planning, Development Planning, and EW road mapping activities

• Applies advanced technical concepts, techniques, and procedures to support multiple project teams in the development of technical products

• Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new research concepts or improvement of current techniques and procedures. Displays an advanced understanding and innovative use of concepts and principles in performing assignments.

• Tasks will include technical lead for various EW/EMS projects for multiple programs.

• Responsible for monitoring and working with various aircraft program offices' electronic warfare programs, AFRL, MAJCOMs, Intelligence Community and vendors

• A successful candidate would need to rely heavily on being familiar with EW/EMS, early acquisition methods at AFLCMC and possess program management skill.

• Candidate would support senior technical level personnel and program managers in the planning, oversight, and execution of complex and advanced EW/EMS projects related to the development planning in early acquisition

• Exercises independent judgment in conducting complex analyses and development efforts and provides technical direction to other staff. Prepares and reviews input to major technical reports, status reports, white papers, proposals and formal briefings

• Prepares unsolicited white papers to secure new projects or the expansion of ongoing project activities that involve support of other staff members. Prepares or coordinates the preparation of complex proposals with contributions from several activities

• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
