Summary

This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance to start.

*Relocation available for out of state personal.

Position reports to the Site OIC/Deputy OIC. Selected candidate will be part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and technical readiness of program and facility equipment. Provides technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties; manages all program systems, equipment, and components. Troubleshoot system outages; coordinate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime; notify senior program personnel when anomalies or outages occur; qualify on all applicable equipment; maintain habitability of program spaces; conduct preventive maintenance as required; review and update Standard Operating Procedures as required; provides Critical Information Requirements (CIR) to the chain of command. #LI-MJ1

What you will do
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provides technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Performs duties as Power Control Station/ Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO) oversees the conduct of routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Informs the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capability.
  • Drafts daily/monthly/weekly watchbills in support of operational requirements.


What you must have
  • Must have 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Must have background in Electronic Maintenance, Information Systems or Telecommunication disciplines.
  • Must have a current or active DoD Top secret clearance
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.


Preferred: Bonus points for...
  • Strong background in communications; fiber optics; electrical/electronic components; generators; AC/DC and high/low voltage theory and application.
  • Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of electrical/electronic components; working knowledge of Key Management Infrastructure. CUS
  • Experience and operational knowledge of various Test Equipment.


Physical Requirements
Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
