Summary
Join HII as we keep the world's more powerful Navy afloat! HII is currently seeking an Engineer to join our Technical Solutions Division Fleet Sustainment Group at Newport News Shipbuilding.

What you will do
Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
What we are looking for
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 0 years experience with Masters in related field.
- Structural experience related to Civil or Mechanical degree
- Experience in industrial environment
- Ability to work in a team environment planning and coordinating with other functional departments

Preferred, Bonus Points For
- Experience with waterfront construction or maintenance
- Experience with Dry Dock operation and/or maintenance
- Experience with waterfront bulkhead construction or maintenance
Physical Requirements
Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
