Enlighten, a HII company is looking for a Cyber Analyst/Data Engineer with strong development skills to join our team. The Cyber Analyst/Data Engineer will establish and implement end-to-end proof of concept for leading edge data mining and analytics systems. They will be responsible for the creation of innovative methodologies for extracting key parameters from big data coming from various sensors. The Cyber Analyst/Data Engineer will utilize their expertise in data analytics, processing, normalization, and orchestration as well as cybersecurity and incident response to provide insight into valuable mission data and create solutions for Cyber Operations
Security Clearance:
- A current Secret level government security clearance is required and therefore all candidates must be U.S. Citizen. Can also consider candidates with a TS or higher-level clearance as well.

Required Skills:
- Candidates must have most of the following required skills:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent fields. Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a developer, analyst, or engineer.
- Conduct data analysis and orchestration of a large volume of security data sources, threat indicators, and customer logs.
- Apply latest technologies in machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics to correlate the big datasets and events and derive dynamic cybersecurity rules.
- Generate highly accurate and near real-time security alerts based on the dynamic rules.
- Architect and work closely with other team members to develop a scalable cloud-based cybersecurity data analytics engine.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript and prototyping languages such as Python and R.
- Familiar with scalable distributed data processing, management, and visualization tools (e.g. Hadoop, ELK, Kafka, Accumulo, graph databases, etc.).
- Familiar with data analytics methods
- Knowledge of cyber security operations, cyber security data types, cyber security threats, network protocols (SOC tools and methodologies).
- Fluency with data extraction, translation, and loading including data prep and labeling to enable data analytics.
- Experience with Kibana and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with data flow, management, and storage solutions (i.e. Kafka, NiFi, and AWS S3 and SQS solutions).
- Ability to decompose technical problems and troubleshoot system and dataflow issues.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with NOSQL databases such as Accumulo desired
- Experience with data nomenclature normalization and schema management highly desired
