Job Description
Alion Science and Technology is looking for a Condition Based Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Strike Systems Program located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Provide life cycle logistics support, knowledge, and experience to efficiently and effectively accomplish Strike Systems objectives.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Technical Order systems
- Maintenance information systems
- Support equipment management
- USAF/DoD maintenance and supply systems, forms, and documentation
- Experience with sustainment engineering and/or technical management
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and subsystems, to include:
- Crew Station
- Instruments
- Flight Controls
- Electrical and Auxiliary Power
- Weapons (Conventional & Nuclear)
- Propulsion
- Environmental Control
- Hydraulics
- Egress
- Software
- Onboard Health monitoring systems
- Understanding of depot and supply chain management processes.
- Logistics experience relevant (i.e., logistics systems, maintenance, training, and technical data management) experience and capability to support assigned tasks and lead support personnel in these tasks.
- Ten years' experience sustaining military aircraft and commodities in an organizational level maintenance unit and program office.
- Top Secret Clearance
- Minimum of 25 years of logistics relevant DoD work experience with no less than five (5) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last five (5) years.
- A BA/BS degree in logistics, management, engineering, or science/math is required. A Master of Arts/Master of Science (MA/MS) degree in any of these disciplines is highly desired.
- SME provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
- Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
