Job Description

Enlighten, an Alion company is looking for a Business/Systems Analyst to directly support the full spectrum of Product Management operations. The candidate will also help provide some project management, requirements analysis, and systems engineering support.

Duties:

  • Ensure the customer's experience is a success from start to finish. Provide a professional customer-facing representation of the Product Team.
  • Integrate directly into the customer's daily operations. Engage the operations and analyst teams daily; you are a core enabler to their success.
  • Develop an unparalleled knowledge of the customer's capabilities and operational needs.
  • Develop a technical understanding of our technology architecture (BDP – Big Data Platform) to align customer operational requirements to internal developmental features.
  • Become proficient in BDP capabilities and comfortable describing/demonstrating features to customers to show incremental progress of developmental efforts.
  • Elicit and document requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, workshops, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Own the creation and management of project artifacts for the client's Systems Development Methodology, Agile Methodology and/or other team deliverables.
  • Writing/eliciting Epics and decomposing them into User Stories sized appropriately for the iteration.
  • Provide business and systems analysis support to identify, define, interpret, and clarify scope in terms of business/systems requirements and processes.
  • Collaborates daily with engineering teams across the project and company to ensure team synchronization (e.g. software, cloud, systems, security, etc.).
  • Works closely with company development and engineer teams to ensure delivery dates align with customer targets and timelines.
  • Assist Product Managers in developing and implementing operational roadmaps and action plans for identified targets of opportunity.
  • Act as the focal point for delivering capabilities out to the customer and receiving customer feedback and bringing it back to the Product Team.
  • Leads the application testing process to verify requirements are met through development of acceptance test criteria and subsequent validation in the system.
  • Leading/facilitating the hands-on execution of all test cases and sharing of the test results and trends.
  • Understanding our technology / capabilities and championing them accordingly, assist in expanding future opportunities by working with existing customers.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Security Clearance:
  • A current Top Secret with SCI eligibility or a TS/SCI clearance is required and therefore all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.

Required Skills:
  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, a technical field, or related. Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Must have 8 years of experience supporting complex technical projects and or programs within the Department of Defense (DOD) or Intelligence Communities (IC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Strong customer interaction/service skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to speak in a public forum.
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills including active listening and empathy.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills; ability to interact effectively with others.
  • Understanding of requirements engineering in Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Software Engineering, Cloud Technologies and Cyber Security.
  • Experience in DoD Personnel Vetting (PV), DoD Critical Technology Protection (CTP), DoD cyber, agile development, and/or big data.
  • Technical background strong enough to determine system requirements and work closely with engineering and management to ensure accurate design and estimating would be an asset, but not required.
  • Previous experience with DISA BDP
