Senior Network Security Administrator/Operations Analyst

About the Role
The Senior Network Security Analyst develops and delivers solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network and infrastructure health using NMS tools (SNMP, Thousand Eyes, Kentik)
- Perform alert triage, event correlation, and escalation following runbooks
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, and WAN issues using CLI
- Support Juniper and Aruba switching environments
- Monitor firewall and IDS activity and escalate suspicious traffic
- Support SD WAN (Silver Peak / Verizon managed), Megaport, and cloud connectivity
- Perform device onboarding, IPAM updates, and CMDB maintenance
- Execute standard changes and maintenance activities
- Validate configuration backups, patches, and vulnerability remediation
- Maintain ticket documentation and incident communication
- Create and update operational runbooks
- Participate in or lead major incidents (Senior role)
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers
- Firewall rule implementation, VPN, Global Connect, troubleshooting, and software upgrades.
- Create new VPNs for new client requirements
- Ability to take initiative to communicate, interact, and collaborate with others to ensure that all aspects of a task are addressed
- Assist in Change and Incident management
- Work with technical and business units across the organization as an operational reference point, offering advice, support, and guidance on network issues
- Ensure regular / recurring tasks and activities are managed efficiently and within defined time constraints
- Own Juniper and Aruba switching platforms in operations
- Support ClearPass, IPAM, and Megaport connectivity
- Validate patching, vulnerability findings, and security posture impacts
- Ensure UPS power dependencies are monitored and understood

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or minimum 5-7 years equivalent Work Experience
• 5+ years in Network Operations or Enterprise NOC
• Strong experience with Juniper, Aruba, firewalls, IDS
• Proven troubleshooting using packet capture, logs, telemetry
• Experience with SD WAN (Silver Peak) and provider managed WANs
• Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals
• Excellent incident communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated leadership under pressure
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, protocols)
• Experience with SNMP, telemetry, NetFlow concepts
• Experience or exposure to Juniper and/or Aruba switching
• Firewall, log interpretation, and packet capture awareness
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Willingness to work rotating shifts
• Hands on experience managing cloud-based firewalls, preferably Palo Alto Networks
• Solid understanding of routing protocols and concepts - must have
• Basic troubleshooting of Linux and/or Windows Server operating system
