Position: SEII - Associate Level

We are looking for a seasoned Developer Analyst who combines strong technical expertise with learning agility and adaptability. This role demands the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies beyond one's core skill set to enhance client delivery and system performance.

This position is designed for a Developer Analyst who is ready to take on issue resolution and development work. Candidates should be prepared to drive technical excellence, mentor team members, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a dynamic and evolving technical landscape.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web services and standalone applications using best practices in software engineering.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading, and JVM internals.
  • Build and deploy microservices using Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and containerized environments like Docker, orchestrated via AWS Fargate or Kubernetes.
  • Apply deep knowledge of microservices architecture, including service discovery, API gateways, and inter-service communication.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs using JSON, OAuth2, and JWT authentication, integrating securely with internal and external services.
  • Implement and maintain AWS cloud-native solutions using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Fargate, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
  • Apply design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Strategy, DAO) and dependency injection to create clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Practice test-driven development (TDD) using JUnit, Mockito, and other mocking frameworks.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, with strong proficiency in Git and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Work with both relational databases (e.g., IBM Db2, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, story breakdown, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to development processes, application architecture, and deployment strategies.
  • Mentor junior developers and actively contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and support production deployments.
  • Hold or be willing to pursue AWS certification (e.g., AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect).

Additional Technical Skills:

  • Cloud and AWS Proficiency: Essential for debugging and accessing EC2s.
  • Infrastructure Automation Tools: Experience with Linux servers, commands, and log access to debug errors.
  • Data Management: Advanced knowledge in managing data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Agile Methodology: Strong foundation in Agile principles to adapt to fast-paced processes.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Exceptional abilities in both verbal and written communication, coupled with stellar analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technological Proficiencies:

  • Proficiency in Java and related frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful web services.
  • Knowledge of build tools like Maven/Gradle.

Years of Experience:

6-8 years of experience in technology.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a Computer Science discipline.
