The Community You Will Join:

The Senior Marketing Manager, Spain will report to the Senior Marketing Lead, Southern Europe and join the Southern Europe Marketing team as an integrated member of the function. They will work in close partnership with the Spain Marketing Lead to support the development and execution of strategic, insight-led marketing plans that drive business growth and strengthen Airbnb’s brand in the market.

The Difference You will Make:

They will help identify local opportunities, activate integrated campaigns, manage agency partners, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including PR, media, product, and performance marketing. The role also involves adapting and localizing global initiatives to ensure cultural relevance and impact.

A Typical Day: 

 

  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and programs for Spain, aligned with global strategy and local business priorities.

  • Partner with the Spain Marketing Lead to identify local opportunities and deliver impactful, insight-led campaigns that drive growth and strengthen brand relevance.

  • Manage agency and partners relationships, including briefing, timelines, contracts, budgets, and end-to-end delivery.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. PR, media, social, product marketing, performance marketing) to activate campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.

  • Adapt and localize global marketing initiatives to ensure cultural relevance and local resonance.

  • Track campaign performance and support reporting, optimization, and knowledge sharing.

  • Ensure all marketing activity reflects Airbnb’s brand values and delivers against business and brand KPIs in the Italian market.

Your Expertise:

  • 8+ years in a marketing role, preferably with experience at a fast paced startup or technology company
  • Deep understanding of the Spanish market, with proven experience activating local consumer insights through impactful marketing initiatives
  • Creative and analytical thinker with proven ability to champion world class creative marketing programs that deliver results
  • An integrated marketing mindset with experience in amplifying campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels
  • Experience in sports sponsorships, talent management is a strong plus 
  • Solid business acumen to understand key business and consumer levers that unlock growth
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional internal teams
  • Willingness to regularly travel internationally
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to articulate a vision, strategy and idea clearly and succinctly
  • The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Appreciation for design and a passion for Airbnb
