Primary Purpose

The Utilities Coordinator II supports the effective management of utility services across ADUSA by coordinating utility documentation, monitoring and interpreting utility usage data, and supporting accurate billing and payment processes. This role applies foundational knowledge of utility services-including electricity, natural gas, propane, water, and sewer-to identify usage trends, irregularities, and potential issues across local brand retail stores and campus locations. The position partners with internal teams, utility providers, and third‑party bill payers to ensure utility accounts are accurate, operationally aligned, and supported with reliable data to enable informed decision‑making.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor utility consumption data to identify trends, anomalies, and high‑usage outliers across local brand retail stores and campus locations, escalating concerns for follow‑up.
  • Participate in utility‑related projects and initiatives by working cross‑functionally with Facilities, Maintenance, Real Estate, Accounting, and other internal teams to support data collection, execution, and follow‑through.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of utility services to assist in validating invoices, usage patterns, and service alignment to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Assist in the setup, transfer, and maintenance of utility services for local brand retail stores and campus locations, ensuring accurate service alignment with operational needs.
  • Coordinate with third‑party utility bill payment providers to research and resolve billing exceptions, discrepancies, and open items in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Real Estate, Accounting, Facilities, and other teams to support resolution of utility‑related issues and service changes.
  • Support daily Utilities department operations by coordinating utility account documentation, billing workflows, and data tracking activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of utility accounts, invoices, usage data, and supporting documentation in accordance with internal controls.
  • Support utility‑related reporting by compiling, organizing, and reviewing usage and cost data for internal analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs and support company values.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience with utility services (electricity, natural gas, water/sewer) and how usage data is measured and billed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to review and interpret utility usage and billing data to identify trends, irregularities, or potential issues
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows simultaneously
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting utilities, energy management, facilities, or multi‑site operations
  • Retail or multi‑location operational environment experience
  • Professionalism with strong relationship‑building and collaboration skills

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $26.54 - $39.81
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
