The Common Product Hierarch Specialist is responsible for defining and maintaining our common product hierarchy across an assigned portfolio of business for the Great Local Brands (GLBs) of Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA). Drives established supervisory forum for future product hierarchy modifications. Develops and implements strategies to improve the accuracy, relevance, and consistency of product categorizations with the GLBs of ADUSA - ensuring alignment to industry standards for item placement (using internal and syndicated data) that meets customer expectations for assigned portfolio of categories. Monitors market trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for hierarchy adjustments and updates; and collaborates cross-functionally with key stakeholders (e.g. our data and insights teams) to continue refining this work. Works with a high degree of autonomy on execution of our Category Roles across a dense portfolio of categories - and brings solutions for refinement to the Manager of CPH as consumers' needs evolve.
***Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core location, Quincy, and 2 remote days.
Essential job functions:
- Establishes and maintains documentation and guidelines for any common product hierarchy modifications within assigned portfolio, ensuring teams are adhering to best practices.
- Facilitates a forum to manage and address escalations related to product categorization discrepancies and works toward rapid resolution for assigned portfolio of categories.
- Facilitates the execution, retention, and continued evolution of Category Roles across assigned portfolio - and drives established cadence for bi-annual review of roles to ensure we remain current.
- Refines ways of working (WOW) to optimize category roles end-state (partnering with Pricing Support and Merchandising Teams) to ensure cohesion to the 4 P's we are executing.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for hierarchy adjustments and updates; and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders (e.g., our data and insights teams) to continue refining this work.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
- Associates in business, logistics, related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail, category management, planning and negotiations experience.
- Demonstrated history of teamwork, driving results, and pushing to challenging the status quo while nurturing internal relationships.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources and present this to varying levels of the organization.
- Skilled collaborator with a proven track record of advocacy across departments and levels of the organization - with a focus on change management and conflict resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to understand and leverage syndicated/internal data.
- Detail oriented and results driven with a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in total commercial experience (Sourcing, Category Management, etc.)
- Power Bi knowledge
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
