The primary purpose of the Testing and Release Analyst role is to serve as the testing and SAP release management SME for knowledge, governance, and execution of all testing related activities, including regression testing, for all US HR Systems supporting Ahold Delhaize's US Associate population of over 200,000 active associates. Includes in-depth understanding of the business processes and system connections, end-to-end, as well as working understanding of testing required to validate operational success for all core HR systems and associated upstream/downstream impacts. The HRIS Delivery Release/Testing Analysts are responsible for establishing testing standards, protocols, and repository for all end-to-end testing requirements across the HR system platform. This includes SuccessFactors, Kronos, ECP, and the custom union solutions. This role will have primary US accountability for coordinating all testing as it relates to the bi-annual SAP Releases, and regression testing tied to the Global Change process. This role develops effective and efficient testing protocols for Business Services. It also analyzes, maintains, monitors, and communicates testing results related to Release, Regression, Change Request, and project testing. Partners with the Demand team to review Release impacts and develop test scenarios. Also partners with stakeholders, including Business Services Process owners and IT, to conduct end-to-end testing required to support Change Requests, regression tests, and ongoing operational projects. Serves as HRIS testing Subject Matter Expert for business customers.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with HRIS and key Business Services team members to properly define testing requirements and protocols to ensure high quality end to end HR system testing.
  • Test, maintain, and monitor the path to production dev, test, and acceptance systems and environments.
  • Coordinate testing across all core HR systems, partnering with HRIS Design and Operations, IT, Global, and Business Services Process owners to deliver end to end scenarios and testing results.
  • Troubleshoot testing system malfunctions to restore normal functioning and ensure system availability to meet key testing deadlines.
  • Expand or modify testing environments and protocols to serve new Business Services purposes or improve end-to-end testing workflow.
  • Use the computer in the analysis and solution of business problems, such as development and tracking of testing guidelines, processes, procedures, and documentation to support testing systems and environments.
  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on testing protocols systems, documentation, and coordination principles.
  • Confer with Business Services counterparts regarding the nature of the information process flows and the expected output of test results.
  • Develop, document, and revise testing design procedures, process flows, and quality standards.
  • Train staff and users to work with test systems and programs to deliver user-driven end-to-end testing results.
  • Coordinate and link the required test standards across systems and processes to increase efficiency and compatibility of test results.
  • Assess the usefulness of testing software, tools, and packages and adapt them to the US HR Systems testing environments.
  • Define the goals of testing systems and processes and devise flow charts and diagrams describing the interconnections and required testing path across the core HR Platform.
  • Manage testing projects, providing requestors with assistance in understanding the testing process, solving testing related problems, and providing guidance when they reach roadblocks.
  • Use various analytical tools and programs, as well as industry best practice to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing protocols, processes, and documentation.
  • Supervise Business Services business users, partnering with HRIS analysts, IT counterparts, and Global to lead testing projects, manage timelines and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate and conduct release testing, regression testing, and end to end HR system testing (including but not limited to SuccessFactors, Kronos, ECP, and the custom union solutions).
  • Explore industry best practices and share groups to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of release, regression, and end to end testing.
  • Determine testing requirements, software, applications, or tools required to deliver high quality testing results.
  • Interview or survey Business Services process owners to determine what information is processed, how it is processed, and what testing standards and guidelines need to be established to support those processes.
  • Specify testing protocols within the core HR system platform and plan the monitoring, distribution, and documentation of the results.
  • Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on testing system, process or procedure changes and enhancements.
  • Recommend new testing systems, tools, or software packages

Education, Experience, Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Certifications in Project Management, Business Analysis, or similar preferred
  • 4+ years of HRIS or significant proven HR analytical experience.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate MS Office - especially Excel
  • Written and spoken communication, ability to actively listen and understand/discern meaning, and ask thoughtful followup questions to ensure clarity; comfort in talking and presenting to multiple levels in the organization
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
