Get to know our team:
The Product Legal team provides legal review and guidance on new and existing product offerings and platform features for Agoda and its adjacent business unit, RTA. We deliver practical, business-oriented legal advice on a wide range of issues, including consumer protection, intellectual property, marketing, and regulatory risk. Our team works closely with product managers, engineers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand product visions and offer legal insights from ideation through deployment.
The opportunity:
As part of the Product Legal team, you will work alongside senior counsels who advise product managers, engineers, and marketing teams and translate legal complexities into product strategy and recommendations. You will get to use your learning and understanding of e-commerce regulations, consumer protection frameworks, technology law, or intellectual property law to help our team conduct legal research, enhance knowledge management and our advice documentation (including through the use of AI tech), and ultimately play a role in enabling Agoda's launch of new products and features, or expansion into new markets.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Benchmarking (industry standards or competitors) on a number of product higher-risk areas, such as our cancellation-related products, loyalty program terms, flight policies, display practices, etc.
- Terms of Use - map&gap exercise, including for corporate white-label partners managed by Rocket Travel by Agoda (RTA)
- Knowledge management project – restructure our existing advice library into Confluence and experiment with AI solutions to retrieve info or create supporting visuals
- Support with Intellectual Property matters - from trade mark assignments to objections, including reviewing documentation, managing powers of attorney, tracking, etc.
- General legal research and problem solving – on product advisory (business-as-usual workstreams)
- General project management support – assist us in experimenting with tracking tools and applying any new methodology that is deemed effective for our 2026 large projects
What you'll need to succeed:
- Currently enrolled as a 3rd-year student or below and will maintain student status throughout the internship period.
- Available to participate in the internship program from 22nd of May to 31st July 2026 (10-week program)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Familiar with utilizing AI
- Great English communication skills in both spoken and written forms
- Structured logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong numerical acumen
- Positive attitude and openness to learn and adapt
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural environment
