Rob’s journey to Backcountry started with a sleeping bag. After ordering one from Backcountry, he made some phone calls and had an interview. Rob was soon in Utah to start answering phones for the company. Now he serves as a Senior Buyer and has access to all the sleeping bags he could need.
The average day for Rob is a blend of numbers, visual merchandising, and working with products. Rob buys a range of merchandise, from lifestyle items to highly technical products. He has opportunities to work closely with vendors, giving input on new products to ensure that when it lands on Backcountry, it’s just right.
