Brooke Schwartz, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist and freelance writer in Los Angeles, California. She runs a psychotherapy private practice where she specializes in treating adults going through (or hoping to achieve) some sort of life transition using evidence-based behavioral therapies. Passionate about destigmatizing mental health by finding humor in the oftentimes painful parts of being human, Brooke is also a freelance writer. Her writing focuses on a variety of mental health–related topics including self-compassion, personal development, and boundary-setting. Her work has appeared in publications such as Choosing Therapy, Hey Alma, and Psyche. Brooke holds a BA from McGill University and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University.
