Looking to break into sales?
Or, maybe you have a few years of selling experience under your belt, but you’re getting frustrated that the roles at companies that excite you are filled before you can even hit “Apply”.
In either case, we’ve got good news. Yodle, an all-in-one marketing platform for local businesses with offices in Austin, Charlotte, Scottsdale, and more, offers both the stellar opportunities and awesome culture you’re looking for. Best of all, the company is hiring 70 to 100 new salespeople per month—so if you want the job, you’ve definitely got a shot.
And that’s true even if you don’t have a sales position listed on your resume. “We’re looking for people who are ready to get on the phones and start making deals, not necessarily people who have a sales background,” Kayla Elliott, Yodle’s Recruiting Operations Lead, explains. “We’ve seen people come in with no sales experience and really crush it.”
It helps that every sales rep gets to go through Yodle’s month-long training program (which is considered one of the best in the country). If you join the team, this program will give you a deep-dive into the company’s products, process, and strategy. You’ll also have the chance to call potential customers and dip your toes into selling, getting feedback to help you become better and better. Elliott says the program has been tested and refined over the years to make it as effective and helpful as possible.
Of course, you won’t stop learning after training is over. Every salesperson is put on a team with nine to 14 other reps and a manager—who will not only help you with calls, but also act as your mentor and coach.
With so much support for learning and development, it’s no wonder that professional growth within the company is common. Take Hunter Abel, an Inbound Sales Manager who joined Yodle in 2012 as an entry-level rep. “I started in the only department Yodle offered at the time,” he explains. “I went through the ups and downs, learned a ton, and looked for opportunities to help pioneer new products when they became available.” Abel was promoted to lead his own sales team and, after a successful year, transitioned again into his current role. “Yodle has been steadily growing since the day I began, and with this growth has always come new opportunities,” he says.
The sky’s the limit for your career—and also for your salary. Unlike many other employers, Yodle offers uncapped commissions. In other words, the more you sell, the more you make. “Yodle has provided me with incredible financial freedom I can use to pursue my hobbies and passions,” Abel says.
