With the new year comes a fresh start. And for many, goals to complete in the year ahead.

We might not have the best advice if you’re hoping to kick your fitness regimen up a notch or start eating more greens, but if you’re looking to build up your personal brand, and all that comes with it, stick around. With the help of a few friends at Squarespace who have proven to be experts in their own right, we put together a comprehensive guide to personal branding and using it to start a side hustle this year.

Read on for more, but first, meet the experts:

Catherine Willett, Talent Curator within the Strategic Partnerships team at Squarespace and Illustrator. Catherine's illustrations include places she's been, moths, and crystals, and she sells her printed work on paper, pillows, and pocket squares.

John Branch, Customer Care Team Lead at Squarespace and owner of John Branch IV Photography. John specializes in wedding and engagement photography in the United States.

Matt Rubin, Product Manager at Squarespace and owner of MR. OK, a website selling wedding rings for men. Matt started the side gig after the search for his own wedding ring turned out to be much harder than he expected.

Let’s get started:
