Goodwin in the World
Financial Literacy for the Homeless
As part of its pro bono work, Goodwin runs a program for 15-20 women from Coalition for the Homeless, where participants learn the basics of taking care of their finances. Goodwin team members will go over everything from opening a checking account to understanding credit and how to pay off debt. Their goal: to provide financial advice that will build the participants up, and put a human face on the financial resources out there.

Incubator for Ideas
The partners at Goodwin are encouraged to bring an entrepreneurial spirit and take initiative. In fact, there’s an easy way for them to do just that: Goodwin has an incubator program going where partners can cultivate ideas for Goodwin to go after new verticals or new transaction types. Goodwin’s successful IP practice and Clean Tech practice were both born this way.
