About the RoleUber's vision of "igniting opportunity by setting the world in motion" depends on our customers seamlessly paying for goods and services and our ability to reliably pay our partners. Additionally, we must ensure that each commerce interaction is accurately recorded and transparent to all parties involved.
The Uber Payments Platform team is an integral part of realizing that vision. Money is a sensitive topic for every interaction on our marketplaces. Our mission is to ensure the experience of paying and being paid is as frictionless, personal, and ubiquitous as possible. As a PM on the Uber Payments Platform team, you'll be responsible for helping shape this experience and growing the platform, thus enabling the foundation for the growth of Uber's overall business!
Uber's Payments Platform is a ledger that orchestrates the movement of money between all users on our marketplaces (riders, drivers, couriers, restaurants, eaters, shippers, carriers, etc.), processing orders at the scale of tens of millions per day. Being the core platform orchestrating all money movements in our marketplaces, it's essential to ensure the platform is reliable enough to handle the scale of our operations while versatile and flexible enough to handle the ever-growing use cases we offer through our different lines of business.
