Maintain payroll system data and configuration so that it stays accurate and up to date

Payroll Validation

Perform payroll validations on the gross build: input-to-output checks, period-on-period variance, headcount reconciliation and exception review (negative, zero or outlier pay)
Review payroll reports and quality assurance reports (hourly and salaried) to identify potential problems; contact field units or clients to resolve discrepancies
Work on payroll error reports and track corrections to closure
Hand off validated gross payroll to downstream teams with clear sign-off notes

Compliance, Reporting and Support

Apply local statutory and labor-law rules that affect gross pay (e.g. taxable and non-taxable treatment, social security wage bases, overtime and statutory leave or sick pay), and keep up with new legislation
Prepare reports compiling summaries of earnings, leave, disability and non-taxable wages, and support audit requirements
Respond to payroll queries about earnings and input promptly and professionally
Generate periodic and ad-hoc payroll reports for management
