Who We AreAt Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
The RoleWho We AreJoin Kyndryl, the world's largest technical services company, with 70,000 employees operating in over 60 countries and serving 75% of the Fortune 100 to modernize and manage the world's mission-critical systems. Kyndryl provides advisory, implementation, and managed services to de-risk and support digital transformations. As our business innovates, our people strategy continues to evolve, and psychometrics plays a crucial role in shaping our enterprise success. Kyndryl is one of the Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces®, and as a cutting-edge services company, we know our people drive our success.
Are you a skilled UX designer ready to take on complex, meaningful problems for the world's critical systems, alongside some of the best technical colleagues in the world? Then you'll love working at Kyndryl Vital.
At Kyndryl Vital, we are looking for creative, curious, empathic systems thinkers who want to tackle wicked problems with some of the best technical colleagues in the world. Kyndryl Vital is a global network of designers, engineers, writers, researchers, and strategists. We are bound together by a desire to help our customers make sense of complexity and co-create intelligent and adaptive experience ecosystems that resonate with their users and transform their businesses. We believe the next evolution of experience will emerge from the artful blending of behavioral insight and business intelligence into elegantly simple, deeply human moments. We are fortunate to work with the world's best IT experts to ensure that we can not only imagine a great experience, but that we can build it, deliver it, optimize it, and sustain it.
The RoleA UX Designer uses the process of understanding and empathizing with user needs, locating "pain points" and possibilities, and finding solutions that meet or exceed those needs. This role translates requirements into hypotheses, explores them with users through research methods and facilitation, and turns insights into tangible experiences.
As Senior Associate, UX Design at Kyndryl Vital US, you will own significant parts of client design workstreams, working closely with lead designers from research and requirements through detailed design, polished high-fidelity visual design, prototyping, and delivery. You will work with clients to understand their users and their business, present your work in design reviews, and collaborate with engineering, data, and consulting teams to ensure a cohesive experience. You will use stakeholder and user feedback to iterate and refine solutions to a high standard of quality and usability.
An increasing share of our work involves designing how people work with AI, including agentic systems that plan, act, and hand work back to humans. You will help map journeys and build service blueprints that span human and AI actors, design human-in-the-loop hand-off moments, and create interaction patterns for systems that are non-deterministic, handling latency, ambiguity, uncertainty, and error states in ways that keep users informed and in control. You will prototype and test human/AI interactions with real users, and you will develop your own point of view on where automation serves people and where it doesn't.
This is not an AI-only role. Our clients run the world's critical systems, and your work will also include dashboards, web and enterprise applications, design systems, service design, and client-facing workshops. We are looking for a strong generalist designer who can extend proven human-centered methods into the agentic era.
Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.
