This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of critical electrical infrastructure.

How you'll make an impact:

* Design, develop, and test control and protection hardware components and systems for HVDC converters, including PCBs, power supplies, I/O modules, and communication interfaces.
* Prepare detailed technical specifications, block diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and design documentation in accordance with industry standards and internal procedures.
* Conduct hardware simulations, analyses, and verification tests to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with project requirements.
* Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and project managers to integrate hardware and software components into a complete HVDC control system.
* Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning activities for HVDC projects.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during design, testing, and operational phases.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to improve existing designs and develop innovative solutions.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards in HVDC control and protection.
* Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality management systems throughout the design and development lifecycle.

Your background:

* Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
* You should have 7 to 12 years of experience in hardware design and development, specifically with control and protection systems for power electronics or HVDC applications.
* Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Modbus, IEC 61850).
* Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, PADS) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
* Experience with testing and debugging hardware, including the use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
* Knowledge of power system protection principles and relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
* Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
