773 jobs for "Lead Machine Learning Engineer"

Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture organization is responsible for the security of all Apple products. Passionate about safeguarding our users, we take an offensive approach to defense - finding and fixing vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. When it comes to securing more than a billion devices running the world's most sophisticated operating systems, that means finding vulnerabilities first.

Can you make a difference on this scale? Join our extraordinary team of security researchers and help protect all Apple users.

Description
We engage in various activities, including vulnerability research, binary exploitation, security tooling development, fuzzing, machine learning, and many more. By developing and harnessing state-of-the-art technologies, we amplify our impact on Apple's product security. Our scope spans the full stack - from silicon, boot ROMs, and firmware to kernels, browsers, messaging applications, and beyond.

As an Offensive Security Research Manager, you will lead a team of security researchers working across these domains. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing team, setting technical direction, and ensuring your team's work has maximum impact on Apple's product security. You will help your engineers grow technically and professionally, remove obstacles, and create an environment where ambitious research can thrive.

You will also play a key role in defining research priorities, coordinating with partner teams across Apple, and communicating your team's findings and strategy to senior leadership. This role requires someone who can bridge deep technical expertise with strong people management - someone who understands the work, empowers the people doing it, and keeps the team focused on what matters most.

If this is you, we'd love to hear from you.

In-office roles in Paris, Cupertino, and other locations.

Familiarity with Apple operating systems like iOS or macOS is nice-to-have, but not required

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading and growing teams of offensive security researchers or engineers
Broad technical understanding of vulnerability research, exploitation techniques, and security tooling across multiple domains (e.g., browsers, messaging, kernels, firmware, embedded systems)
Proven ability to define and drive a technical strategy while balancing short-term deliverables with long-term research goals
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across engineering organizations
