About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a seasoned, experienced technical leader to provide world class customer service and platform support across all the stake holders of the API Management service. This is especially important as the bank moves to a highly resilient, highly available 4 Data Center model.
In this role, you will provide leadership across the following functions
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define and execute a global technology strategy aligned with organizational objectives and growth plans.
- Champion modernization initiatives, including hybrid cloud adoption and containerized architectures across multiple geographies.
- Continuously improve governance frameworks for stability, resiliency, capacity management, observability, alert monitoring and escalations at an enterprise scale.
- Oversee API management platforms (e.g., Apigee Hybrid, DataPower), and application support.
- Ensure high availability and performance across global data centers.
- Lead firmware upgrades, patching automation, and security compliance initiatives.
- Lead migration programs to next-generation platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience across global data centers.
- Drive automation and AI-driven operations to optimize efficiency and reduce operational overhead worldwide.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Security, Network, Product, and Business Units) to deliver integrated solutions.

- Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical platforms globally.
- Implement proactive monitoring and predictive analytics to minimize downtime and improve MTTR across regions.
- Maintain compliance with international security and regulatory standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation by introducing emerging technologies and global best practices.
- Engage senior executives, business leaders, and technical teams across functions to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
- Manage global vendor relationships to ensure timely support and cost optimization.
- Manage and develop teams of analysts, associates, and less experienced managers in roles that provide technical services and support for the relevant supported systems
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers in order to engineer projects, identify new products and solutions, and research solutions for existing systems
- Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- 6+ years of Systems Engineering and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Global Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate global technology trends and align initiatives with business priorities across regions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to lead diverse teams across engineering, operations, security, and business functions.
- Influence & Communication: Skilled in engaging C-suite stakeholders and driving consensus across multicultural teams.
- Change Leadership: Expertise in leading global transformation and managing organizational change effectively.
- Decision-Making: Strong analytical and business judgment to make high-impact decisions under uncertainty.
- Talent Development: Commitment to building high-performing teams and mentoring future leaders across geographies.
- Innovation Mindset: Encourages creative problem-solving and adoption of emerging technologies globally.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
