About this Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist on the Human Resources (HR) Governance Team. HR Governance is accountable for the strategy, oversight, and execution of enterprise-wide HR Governance programs and partners closely with HR, Control Management, Independent Risk Management, Audit and Regulatory Relations.

This Senior Business Accountability Specialist is a key role providing strategic consulting support for Human Resources stakeholders on a broad array of governance programs. This position will work closely with partners in HR, front line Control Management, Risk, and Compliance to ensure business group programs are compliant with applicable laws and internal and external requirements, effectively balancing risks and financial rewards in a manner that supports our customers, employees, and the company. This includes providing counsel and guidance regarding current and future needs, understanding regulatory requirements impacting HR programs, and consulting with enterprise and business partners.

A successful candidate will have the ability to take initiative and work independently, strong communication and problem-solving skills, effective project management and interpersonal skills, experience in facilitating change management processes, ability to provide effective consulting to the business and partners, and a proven ability to work across matrixed teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide consulting/oversight over HR governance standards to ensure compliance with requirements and alignment with enterprise-wide HR Governance programs
  • Be a subject matter expert on topics relating to compensation and performance management governance and consult with peers, HR and business partners to effect quality outcomes
  • Support HR Governance program objectives and ensure effective end to end process execution
  • Develop an understanding of a variety of incentive plans to partner with Incentive Design Center of Excellence to provide credible challenge, as needed, to the design of incentive plans and resolve problems of moderate scope
  • Ensure compensation and performance management outcomes have been documented to meet company, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide critical consulting and credible challenge, when needed, to key stakeholders
  • Serve as a representative for the business on various projects and initiatives related to HR governance
  • Establish and maintain relationships with enterprise HR, risk, and control partners to develop efficient and consistent practices across all functional business lines

  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with HR risk and regulatory compliance programs in the financial services industry
  • Consulting experience in compensation, performance management, human resources, risk or control management
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and can take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Experience with Workday
  • Intermediate Excel skill and experience with data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Position will require onsite presence in a hybrid capacity within one of the following Wells Fargo locations Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; Dallas, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Phoenix, AZ
