Your New Role...

The Staff, Financial Applications Architect will help design scalable, modern, and efficient solutions for financial applications and integrations within the Enterprise Technology Finance Planning & Deal Management Solutions team's portfolio. This role will also help evaluate, implement, and enable AI and agent-based process automation to improve business processes and drive efficiency for business users.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Operations and Project Management

  • Support project teams, key stakeholders, and leadership in prioritizing business requirements and developing/maintaining detailed project plans using standard tools.
  • Define required project roles and partner with management to secure appropriate resources.
  • Lead by influence and operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Coordinate plans and readiness activities for deployments and migrations into production.
  • Support teams across the organization with data and document archiving for retiring and retired applications.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define, document, and execute the project plan.
  • Support management with special assignments (e.g., vendor evaluations and gathering/evaluating consultant proposals), as needed.

Strategy
  • Monitor industry trends and partner with management to incorporate relevant practices into business processes to drive efficiency and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand needs and dependencies and align business processes accordingly.
  • Help develop and execute a methodology to evaluate, prioritize, and monitor the success of business processes.
  • Clearly articulate strategic issues and provide relevant, logical options to address them.
  • Define data and document archiving strategies for retiring and retired applications and systems.
  • Develop clear, comprehensive strategy presentations for senior executives.


Technology and Analytics
  • Analyze business process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop a scalable analytics framework and deliver dynamic business intelligence dashboards to support ongoing business planning and KPI-based performance measurement.
  • Architect business solutions that are scalable, secure, modern, and efficient.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand planned initiatives and align technology roadmaps and priorities.
  • Contribute to defining and implementing new and improved workflows and operational initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training and supporting materials for new or updated processes.
  • Create and maintain runbooks and application understanding documentation.
  • Own the transition and ongoing support strategy for retiring and retired applications, including those becoming unsupported by vendors.


Qualifications & Experiences...
  • 10+ years of experience in a related industry (e.g., media, entertainment).
  • 5+ years of experience as an Application Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect supporting ERP finance, supply chain, and related financial solutions (packaged software, custom solutions, and SaaS applications).
  • Bachelor's or master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Electronics, Management, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of at least one enterprise architecture framework (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, FEAF, Gartner EA), patterns, and best practices for driving business transformation (preferred).
  • Experience developing architecture diagrams and data models using tools such as Visio and Lucidchart.
  • Working knowledge of one or more financial systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, Workday Financials), as well as Ariba, OCR platforms, and e-invoicing platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Informatica, and data lake technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI platforms and tools (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Azure AI).
  • Experience with data and document archiving solutions, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience working with SaaS, PaaS, custom, and third-party applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with small teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.


Not Required but preferred experience:
  • MBA.
  • 2+ years of post-MBA experience in a related industry (e.g., media, entertainment).
  • Experience working in a global media company.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographic locations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight).
  • Comfortable working in a highly iterative, somewhat unstructured environment.
  • Experience with ERP and adjacent enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle E-Business, Ariba).
