Job Description
As a Senior Manager on the Future of Payments Team within Visa’s Growth Products organization, you will help shape Visa’s Horizon-3 product strategy and incubate new payment paradigms—including agentic systems, stable coin-based value movement, and emerging non-card credentials. You will lead early-stage product explorations from problem definition through prototyping, validation, and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead 1–2 Horizon-3 incubation initiatives from initial problem framing through validation, prototyping, and transition to scalable product tracks.
- Conduct hypothesis testing and analyze early-stage metrics to assess viability and demonstrate initial product-market fit for new payment concepts.
- Develop business cases and detailed product requirements for next-generation payment experiences, including non-card credentials and alternative value-transfer mechanisms.
- Partner across engineering, risk, legal, finance, and regional teams to refine prototypes, ensure regulatory and operational readiness, and guide concepts toward commercialization.
- Contribute to user and market research, shaping the team’s frameworks for gathering insights and evaluating emerging technology and ecosystem trends.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations to influence senior leadership and build alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- 6–10+ years of experience in product management, R&D incubation, or strategic innovation roles in payments or fintech.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, strategy, or innovation—ideally within payments, fintech, or emerging technology.
- Demonstrated ability to incubate, validate, and launch early-stage products.
- Strong understanding of emerging payment trends, including agentic systems, stable coins, or non-card credentials.
- Proven experience operating in large-scale, enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment in ambiguous environments.
- Experience defining Horizon-3 or zero-to-one product concepts, including early metrics design, prototyping, and validation.
- Familiarity with developer platforms, emerging payment protocols, or agent-driven commerce models.
- Strong ability to synthesize research, develop structured recommendations, and prepare materials for senior executives.
- Passion for innovation and interest in shaping the future of digital payments and intelligent commerce.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
