Job Description
Visa Acceptance Solutions is currently recruiting a collaborative and customer obsessed Account Manager to join our team. This individual will align with some of our most complex relationships in the Canadian market to activate, grow, and retain by designing and executing a mutual success strategy. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships, and finding new opportunities to expand business on the Visa Acceptance platform. You will work closely with the account executive team to uncover upsell opportunities and grow revenue, all while maintaining a positive customer experience. You will act as a trusted advisor and consult with your clients on their payment strategy, challenges, and goals.
This role requires strong cross collaboration with our billing team, technical support, product, and risk operations to resolve inquiries on behalf of the customer.

This position is based in Toronto, Canada.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Mid-Market and Enterprise Accounts exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Lead client business reviews and collaborate on their client success plan and their payment strategy.
- Showcase the value of the partnership by sharing data and insights that illustrates the positive return on investment.
- Business lead on customer meetings/calls working closely alongside Visa Account Executives, Technical Account Management, Sales Engineers, and Managed Risk Analysts
- Serve as the customer advocate while effectively collaborating with internal, cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, sales engineering, and finance.
- Ideal candidates should possess strong account management, 10+ years of payments experience, strong commercial acumen, great communication skills and will be comfortable and experienced managing large enterprise accounts.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Proven experience in account management, client services, or a related field.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and analyze client needs and develop appropriate solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and teams.
- Experience in the payments industry or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the bankcard industry including issuing, acquiring, transaction processing, eCommerce, Card Present, Card Not Present and ACH
- Demonstrated expertise in the Canadian ecommerce and consumer payments market, including familiarity with local consumer behavior, competitive dynamics, regulatory considerations, and leading B2C digital commerce trends
- Knowledge of Visa Acceptance platform and products.
- Experience with complex partnerships and large-scale accounts.
