As a Fortune 5 business, we're one of the world's leading healthcare companies. There are no limits here on the resources you'll have or the challenges you'll encounter.

We have been supporting global healthcare systems from Ireland and the UK for more than 20 years, building a dynamic and diverse team of more than 2,100 talented individuals. With a continued record of growth and stability, we're on the constant lookout for fresh talent to join our expanding teams.

As a member of the Rebate Analytics team, you will play a key role in growing and enhancing our Rebates Estimation Platform - a cutting-edge model capable of real-time, complex calculations to predict financial outcomes for clients, such as rebate payment estimates and reimbursements at the individual claim level. By streamlining complex contract rules and payment schedules, it significantly reduces the time it takes to process and deliver financial insights, helping clients make better decisions and manage their cash flow more effectively. This role has a huge impact as the model serves as source of truth for rebate estimates across the entire PBM business. The model also acts as the foundational data provider for seven downstream platforms that are essential to multiple stakeholder teams and clients.

Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Improve the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of the model
  • Add new capabilities to the model to meet evolving business and client needs
  • Update and adapt the model to account for changes in the market and Optum's business operations
  • Develop new products that utilize the rich data generated by the model to deliver innovative solutions and create added value for the organization.
  • Enhance platform robustness to prevent issues and ensure seamless functionality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and experts to ensure analyses address business needs, anticipating and solving issues proactively
  • You will also provide support to other products owned by the Client Rebate Analytics team, such as an dashboarding platform sold to clients, and an reporting automation tool
  • You will be technically accomplished with a quantitative mindset, a solid aptitude for complex problem-solving, and a keen eye for process improvement. Your curiosity will drive you to seek innovative ways to analyze data and challenge existing practices

You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.
