University Recruiter - Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

As a University Recruiter, you will support our University Talent Acquisition team at Uber - and learn about the business as well as the processes to acquire top talent. In this role, you will support and help coordinate the different initiatives happening within the University Talent Acquisition Team - from intern (Tech and Non-Tech) recruitment, coordinating internship programs to participating in internal and external events representing Uber while facilitating a world-class candidate experience.

You'll also become an expert on university recruitment, reporting on findings and presenting solutions to identified university recruitment strategies to help the broader Talent Acquisition team. You'll partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers and the University TA team along the way.

What You'll Do

  1. Support our intern recruiting strategy to support intern hiring across all different organizations in India, Japan, Taiwan and Philippines
  2. Work cross-functionally with our hiring teams, broader talent acquisition team and people team in developing highly scalable yet tailored recruiting processes keeping candidate experience paramount
  3. Facilitate and cultivate successful relationships between academic and industry groups within the company
  4. Be responsible for the full cycle recruiting process for intern candidates looking for full-time and internship opportunities
  5. Participate in student hiring events, webinars, and conferences
  6. Define and communicate the processes around how we execute sourcing strategies at events and conferences
  7. Provide reporting and updates to appropriate hiring teams and functions
  8. Liaison with University Program Manager to ensure Intern Program meets the Global Intern Program tenets

Basic Qualifications
  1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
  2. Good stakeholder manager - you have excellent communication skills, can provide insight and expertise up to hiring managers and are used to helping drive decisions through data and reporting

Preferred Qualifications
  1. 2+ years experience in recruiting with experience working with Early Careers in N.Asia
  2. Strong university recruiting expertise in hiring for non tech roles in Japan, Taiwan and Philippines
  3. Basic native language communication would be preferred
