About the Role
The Mobility Verticals team at Uber owns the biggest verticals in Uber's rides business such as Airports and Reserve. These verticals each contribute billions of dollars to Uber's business. The team also innovates and launches new vertical products, aiming to find the next 1-billion business for Uber.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
- As a frontend engineer, own our latest products from inception to delivery at the Uber scale.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and build cross-functional solutions.
- Design and build web applications using React, GraphQL, Flow, CSS in JS, node.js, and leveraging open-source frameworks built by Uber such as Base UI, Styletron, and Fusion.js.
- Track the success of your feature experiments, collaborating with Data Science and Product teams to iterate on delightful user experiences.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers or new engineers joining the team. Provide technical leadership to your team.
---- Basic Qualifications ----
- 4+ years of experience in web development.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficient in web application development frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, Angular or Next.js
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in shipping high-quality features on schedule
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in building with a variety of backend service types ranging from RESTful API, GraphQL, and bi-directional streaming messaging services
- Experience instrumenting single-page applications with monitoring metrics, and analytics systems
- Experience in building microservices and APIs
- Strong collaboration skills
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$198,000 per year - USD$220,000 per year.
