Group Product Manager, Consumer
About the Role
As a consumer-focused Group Product Manager working across Eats and Rides, you will define the strategy and product experience for the platform's most valuable and loyal customer segments. Your mission is to evolve the product experience from a transactional relationship into a high-value, cross-app lifestyle operating system. You'll work on bringing together our Eats & Rides experiences, creating unique value adds and leveling up the relationship we have with consumers.
This is a high-visibility leadership role at the intersection of diverse business lines, requiring a strategist who can navigate multi-sided marketplaces and build products that foster deep emotional resonance and brand advocacy.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Vision: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for the global cross-platform experience, prioritizing disproportionate value delivery to maximize Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
- Organizational Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of extreme ownership, technical excellence, and rapid experimental iteration.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Employ advanced analytical rigor to decode user behavior, mitigate friction points, and lead large-scale experimentation to optimize our funnel.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Design leadership to ensure a unified user experience across the entire product ecosystem.
Basic Qualifications
- Product Leadership: 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with a documented history of shipping scaled consumer technology products.

- Analytical Fluency: Expert-level ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable product narratives and strategic pivots.
- People Management: Proven experience in managing and developing senior PM talent and leading through influence in a matrixed global organization.
- Academic Foundation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent technical experience.

- Customer Obsession: A track record of distilling complex operational constraints into elegant, frictionless, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Marketplace Expertise: Deep understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics and the use of levers to balance supply-side and demand-side health.
- Operational Excellence: A "Driver" mindset characterized by a bias for action and the ability to execute on both high-level strategy and granular product details.
Strategic Disambiguation: The ability to translate broad executive concepts into structured, executable roadmaps that align cross-functional stakeholders.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$252,000 per year - USD$280,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$252,000 per year - USD$280,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp.
