Job Purpose:
To manage all aspects of maintenance within the House. To co-ordinate and perform routine, preventive and emergency maintenance and carry out repairs to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of the House, Pool and F&B operations.
Main Duties:
Technical
-
- To maximise maintenance team potential with a balanced focus on operations, members and employee and satisfaction.
- To prioritise, plan, schedule assign and supervise the maintenance team and third-party contractors.
- To respond to member’s maintenance needs promptly and ensure they receive professional, efficient and courteous service in line with company standards.
- To respond to Kitchen maintenance needs promptly to ensure minimal disruption to the operation.
- To maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems, liaising with the landlord’s team as and when appropriate.
- To install and then maintain all equipment related to HVAC, Water treatment, Fire Safety and emergency life support systems in and around the House.
- To ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
- To take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant and mechanical equipment rooms.
- To maintain, monitor and oversee the testing of the House’s emergency and security systems, features, fire alarm, CCTV, sprinkler system etc.
- To ensure all statutory gas safety tests are in date, ductwork cleaning is programmed and completed.
- To ensure all statutory Fire safety tests are conducted, extinguishers are all in date and teams are aware of fire safety routes and escape plans.
- To ensure proper records are kept relating to all kitchen assets with a current status reflecting any equipment that is out of order.
- Maintain, monitor and oversee all records of critical information held for the entire House.
- Responsible for utilities in the house. Energy control including Water, Gas, Electricity to minimize them for and work towards environmentally friendly operation in line with our global sustainability pledge.
- Manage Garbage collection areas, for recycling resources and minimize the garbage
Leadership
-
- To train the maintenance team on correct maintenance procedures and technical skills training.
- To be responsible for the PRP and liaise with Hotel Manager, Reception Manager and Housekeeping Manager.
- To conduct regular coffee chats and performance reviews in line with company standards.
- To monitor and maintain efficiencies in energy and maintenance costs
- Working with all HODs to minimise damage
Requirements / Qualifications:
-
- Previous experience working at a similar sized property, preferably a hospitality environment
- Possesses either a degree or craft apprenticeship with multiple years’ experience and on-going development
- Good financial acumen
- Is able to establish credibility and respect and build a strong working relationship with other managers
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi task and maintain momentum
