Sodexo is seeking a strategic and results-driven Area General Manager to join our leadership team in Michigan. Reporting directly to the Client Executive, this high-impact role provides operational oversight and mentorship to General Managers across multiple healthcare locations within a premier health system.
As the Area General Manager, you will be the strategic bridge between our client's vision and on-site execution. You will oversee a diverse portfolio that includes hospital retail, high-volume culinary production, and patient services.
Travel Requirement:
This position involves regular regional travel to multiple sites and locations across Eastern and Northern Michigan. Candidates should be prepared to spend time on the road visiting different facilities, ensuring consistent support and collaboration across the region. Reliable transportation and flexibility to accommodate varying schedules are essential.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driver's license record check is required.

What You'll Do
- Provide strategic direction and daily support to General Managers across several locations to ensure operational consistency and excellence.
- Act as a key partner to the Client Executive, ensuring Sodexo's services align with the health system's strategic goals.
- Drive P&L performance across the area, managing budgets, labor, and retail revenue while identifying opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the integration of high-end retail and culinary standards-ensuring that even our "back-of-house" sous chef responsibilities meet "front-of-house" guest expectations.
- Mentor and coach General Managers, fostering a culture of professional growth, accountability, and a "Service First" mindset.
- Ensure all locations meet or exceed Sodexo's rigorous safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.

What You Bring
- 5+ years of multi-unit or "Area" management experience, preferably within a complex healthcare or large-scale hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple P&Ls, develop strategic growth plans, and navigate complex client relationships.
- A strong background in food service operations, including experience overseeing retail cafes and culinary production teams.
- Outstanding professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
