Technical Leader - Data Center (Cooling)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Leader to lead and support customer projects focused on cooling systems for data centers, within the RAC (Regional Application Center) team in South America. This role involves technical leadership across project phases, with a strong emphasis on HVAC and thermal management, and desirable knowledge in electrical systems and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution of data center projects with a focus on cooling systems (HVAC, CRAC, CRAH, chilled water, Liquid Cooling etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and deliver efficient thermal solutions.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including solution design and customer presentations.
  • Ensure project delivery meets performance, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines (electrical, automation, mechanical).
  • Promote digital tools and services for monitoring and optimizing cooling performance.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical roles related to data center infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise in HVAC and cooling systems for mission-critical environments.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution (MV/LV) and automation systems (BMS/EPMS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (technical and business); native Portuguese.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data center design standards and thermal modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in cooling systems.
  • International certifications in data center infrastructure or HVAC design.
  • Experience with digital twin or remote monitoring platforms.
