Qualification:

  • University Bachelor / Master Engineering Degree
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Fluent in English
  • Another language will be valuable
  • 3 years leading technical projects or as Solution Application Engineer for large and international Customer projects
  • 3 years in his technical field of expertise (PLC, SCADA, DDC Systems)
  • Proven ability to lead with agility functional and remote technical team having different fields of expertise
  • Able to work under pressure with tight schedules
  • Able to communicate in concise and synthetic manner complex technical issues/topics
  • Able to take decisions in complex context based on imperfect/missing conditions
  • Proven expertise OR ability to learn and excel very fast with new BMS/EMS platforms
  • Excellent problem solving and organization skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and company colleagues.


Management of Installation & Commissioning activities

  • In accordance with the requests from Project Manager, he coordinates the human resources and equipment required for the installation & commissioning activities to be carried out on Schneider Electric's various projects within Zone Solutions centers/RACs/HUBs/Front Office.
  • Depending on the priorities and the profiles sought, he also uses the services of service providers.
  • He is responsible for preparing the test engineers' journeys to ensure optimal responsiveness to needs.
  • Lead the team to assign missions in line with requests and people availability and individual competencies
  • Support Teams at site for technical, travel, safety & administrative aspects


Site activities and planning preparation
  • Clarify with customer for assigned scope of services , representing the company, its interests and objectives
  • Prepares the work estimates (for supervision of installation & commisioning) based on the PM's requests and hypotheses by estimating the amount of time and ressources required for the work.
  • Define the site organization needed for all activities
  • Prepares accordingly a budget and planning for site activities


Preparation of tools for site activities
  • Defines, prepare, deliver on site in due time, all needed tools for installation & commisioning activities.
  • Responsabile of the good follow-up of this tools, as per Site Works Dept procedure.


Ensure compliance of resources with country of destination rules
  • Before site activity starts, updates the HR and/or Int'l mobility team about the planned trip and prepare 1st site resource mission start: (Work permit, A1 certificate, Limosa, Dimona, VCA, etc..) to ensure compliance of our activities with local laws and to inform internal clients about potential additional costs if any.


Introduction of documents and tools for site activities
  • Ensure that all needed tools/files to follow progress on site are in place and shared with PM (event tracker, KPI, delivery tracking, time sheet templates, doc follow up file)
  • list all the output documents required by our technician to perform installation & commisioning activities and add it inside the document list follow up with support of the doc manager (test scripts, ITP, warranty letters, I&0 list, OPC file etc..).

Review and Reporting
  • Ensures that reports (Monthly, Weekly & daily if any) are well produced and transmitted to project stakeholders as well as drawings updated well submitted to the PM/TL for preparation of As built documents;
  • ensures that all technicians update their time sheets in due time, get the signature, and after his control, upload it on the appropriate share folder once a month with target to get all for review with PMs any end of month
  • collects once a month min. the month expenditures on site (travel, accommodation) and place it inside a synthetic excel table, per person, per month.
  • Review with the PM the budget ( actual & forecast) for site hours activities.
  • Analyse potential deviation between Planned / estimated working hours and lead action plan to improve
  • Provide final breakdown cost sheet taken into account all real costs (Mobilization, tools, extra time when needed, etc.)


Coordination & Communication
  • when necessary, attends meetings with customer dedicated to organization & follow-up of on-site activities (HSE topics, co-activity, detailed planning for commissioning, interface with other parties for scope of supply or service etc..)
  • attends regular internal meeting of SE Project team to share progress of site activities, escalate risks & opportunities coming from site, get align with strategy of PM & Contract Manager
  • ensure permanent coordination between departments and stakeholders (local FO, local Service Team etc..) to optimize the work carried out on the different sites.

  • Identification and permanent coordination of site requirements in terms of staffing for the Works to be carried out at sites, as per skills required on site, in alignment with respective local SE entity and/or external providers. He sent notification of works to external resource provider.
  • Demonstrate quality of leadership within Site Works Dpt to promote skills of our Dpt to various regional org (Zone Solution Center, HUB, local Service Org etc..) and all other regional entities that can benefit from our support


Compliance with HSE requirements
  • Ensure that the Safety plans are prepared and sent to the Site Works HSE manager.
  • Ensure that current regulations and site HSE plans are known by the team and applied during missions.
  • In alignment with One Solutions HSE representative, making sure that HSE indicators and reports are fed back from the sites (accidents, near miss, hours worked, etc.).
  • Ensure the team is trained have followed HSE training path before starting missions on site
  • Perform internal safety audit (2/years)
  • Role model fulfilling RAMs, Work Orders, Risk analysis, Arc Flash level calculation and other main formal documents needed to be fulfilled for site missions
  • HSE Referent for your Site Works team in close collaboration with One Solutions HSE specialist

Monitoring of our Regional Cost Center
  • Landing in line or better than his Rolling Forecast
  • Achieve annual budget assumptions and generate recurrent positive residuals to ensure the competency center financing.
  • Reliable costs & revenues follow-up and monthly financial reporting follow-up in collaboration with finance.
  • Monitor an track all business indicators (under absorption, Hourly rate, utilization rate and others)


Internal management
  • Follow-up and implementation of action plans for the evolution of our Regional Site Works Team
  • Workload management (actuals & forecasts) Monthly update of workload forecasting in ALMA
  • Ensure monthly that individual Time Tracking values are aligned with budget assumptions
  • Management of the local set of test tools ( investment, maintenance, calibration, allocation )
  • Ensures the administrative implementation and the follow-up of the mission costs of our technicians (PO reception, Invoice follow up, tool trackings)
  • Ensures close collaboration and promotion of profiles with Zone Sol center, RSPs, European HUbs & local Service Managers
  • Identification and coordination of site requirements in terms of staffing and training for your team to cope with business & customer mid & long term requests (CAPEX regional pipelines)
  • Create & update a portfolio of major opportunities/projects on which a specific attention is needed ( identify and contact as early as possible main internal stake holder, evaluate our capacity to support , when possible participate to tender review etc..)


Sharing good practice & tools:
  • Deploy in your region Site Works Dpt initiatives and transformations program, ensure adoption and process compliances within your team
  • Ensure that REX/ lessons learned file for I&C activities are well prepared and shared with the rest of the team
  • Formalize Site Works competency center knowledge and missions, organize knowledge management topic and deploy to your team : Tools, process, template, good practices..)
  • Share with other regional leaders same or similar state-of-the art patrices.

  • Analyse Team capacity & comptency gaps, buid budget & yearly training plan & hiring plan
  • Secure mandatory internal competencies, professional growth and devolmpent of skills, in line with the evolution of our current and future business needs and the personal development potential of each member of his/her team
  • Expose and accelerate talents from your team. Be an active Talent scouter. Drive own sucession plan identification
  • Prepare detailled on boarding program for all new comer of your team ( training plan, exposure, coaching etc..)

Requirments

  • Electrical technician with minimum Bachelor degree
  • English (C1 level mandatory with good communication skills)
  • Five (5) years of experience in on-site electromechanical testing
  • Leadership skills focusing on building strong team to deliver and achieve ambitious results
  • Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus, Team player
  • Methodical and Rigorous, Ability to communicate (written, verbal) in clear and synthetic manner on technical issues/topics
  • Effective communication / Innovative thinking / Demonstrating expertise / Agility & Adaptability / Building a supportive network / Emotional intelligence / Confidence / Purpose, meaning and passion / Self-awareness / Managing conflict / Mindfulness and mindful listening
  • Capability to work in remote international environment
  • Standard office software: Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD; SAP / Primavera basic knowledge is advantage
  • Knowledge of the equipment for MV/LV Electrical distribution equipments (LV & MV Switchboards, protection relays..)
  • Knowledge of electrical substations, electrical networks
  • Experience in Data center applications / projects is an advantage
  • Knowledge about Automation and/or Protection relays and/or Scada system is an advantage
