What will you do?

  • Procurement Manager for large and complex tenders / projects has the responsibility to contribute into the competitiveness of the opportunities as well as the safe and profitable execution by selecting the best suppliers and supply chain to deliver the project.
  • The role is responsible for developing the skills, related to procurement of large and complex projects, of the regional procurement team.
  • The role secures that each opportunity has the most optimal staffing from procurement and supply chain.
  • The role has the operational authority to represent procurement and supply chain in the regional project delivery team and liaise with regional management. Furthermore, the role main responsibility is centered around securing robust costing inputs associated with a transparent risk profile, coming from both external and internal suppliers in the tendering phase.
  • In the execution phase the role is responsible for securing that the governance of contract negotiation, award, supplier qualification and supplier performance is followed with close coordination of SC country Leaders.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Work in coordination with Country Procurement Leader to build a Solution Purchasing set-up for each large tender, leveraging a mutualized pool of Solution Purchasing & Supply Chain resources.
  • Managing procurement for large tenders with the aim to secure robustness and competitiveness throughout the different stages of the opportunity. (RFQ, Negotiations, Audit and qualification, Contract management, Value Engineering, pricing database, risk management).
  • Tendering work packages related to installation, commissioning, electrical works, electrical equipment and transportation.
  • Represent procurement and supply chain in the tender gates and established governance, with a key focus of making the risk profile and exposure transparent, accurate and up to date.
  • Be responsible for awarding the internal and external supplier content within the agreed budget derived in the tenderingstage.
  • Ensure Purchasing improvement action plans & initiatives are issued, developed, tracked and reported on monthly basis.
  • Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported in an efficient way.

  • University degree (Supply chain / Engineering / Commerce)
  • Master degree in Supply Chain or MBA is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Arabic is a plus
  • French is a plus
  • +10 years in purchasing / procurement / sourcing environments : EPC experience and/or execution in equipment or large projects
  • Excellent analytical and communication with high impact
  • Significant negotiation experience and is skilled in contract management
  • self-driven and able to work under pressure
  • Process Improvement and value chain analysis
  • Having faced difficult /complex operational challenges
  • In-depth knowledge of solution business in term of value chain, trends, and key success factors
  • Strong team builder/team developer of multi cultural teams in complex environment and to put in place collaborative climate to leverage diversity
  • Ability to communicate effectively difficult and/or complex ideas by listening and proper information toward both external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify, dare to disrupt.
  • Lead with Agility being a role model facing stressful issues while performing in handling wide range of situations in parallel
