Reporting Line: This person will report to the Head Of Risk Management - CEE, Risk Management.
What you will do:
- Develop personal expertise in global commodity markets for natural gas, electricity, crude & fuel oils, carbon, and coal
- Investigate, identify and provide impact analysis of pertinent market information that will affect clients
- Developing specific hedging strategies for energy commodities utilizing all available contract or financial instruments for industrial and commercial end-users
- Performing various types of analyses to assist clients in determining risk appetite via customized strategies toward managing energy market risk
- Presenting market analysis and strategic directions to external clients
- Conducting monthly market meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
- Travel requirements: limited but possible
What we need from you:
- University diploma or degree (preferably in an analytical role)
- Fluent English (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage
- 5 years + experience in a similar role
A successful candidate should have a proven track record in the following:
- Experience in energy commodity fundamentals including crude oil, fuels, natural gas, electric power applicable to Europe markets, with a demonstrated understanding of the application of financial instruments and derivatives
- Expert knowledge of hedging strategies
- A self-starter with the ability to also work in a team setting in developing information, strategies and solutions
- Ability to build collaborative and successful relationships across internal departments and geographies
- Ability to build collaborative and successful relationships with external stakeholders
- Ability to be well organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to understand macro-economic trends and technical charting
- Experience presenting to senior level executives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Energy contract procurement experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
