We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Execution Engineer (PE) to join the Busbar Trunking team. Based in Mumbai / Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad, this role will report into Head - Busbar Trunking System.

The Project Execution Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end (E2E) execution, coordination, and completion of Busbar Trunking Systems (Busduct) projects. Operating within the Execution Vertical, this role bridges engineering design and onsite execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

The engineer will act as a primary interface between clients, consultants, installation service providers (ISPs), electrical contractors (ECs), and internal project management teams. The role is critical in driving project ownership, risk mitigation, and operational excellence, whilst building strong client relationships and ensuring repeat business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Project Execution & Site Management


  • End-to-End execution: Own the E2E execution lifecycle of busbar trunking installations, ensuring seamless delivery from project kick-off to final handover
  • Site Inspections & Quality Control: Perform critical site visits during the drawing preparation stage to verify routing, spatial clearances, and site readiness.
  • Installation Supervision: Conduct pre-inspection and mid-installation checks to ensure compliance with approved layout drawings, technical standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Commissioning Support: Coordinate testing, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and troubleshooting activities prior to final customer acceptance.


  1. Technical & Drawing Reviews


  • Design Assessment: Critically assess isometric layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and shop drawings prepared by the Installation Service Provider (ISP) to identify potential conflicts or engineering challenges before involving the Internal Engineering center / Electrical Contractor (EC) or Consultant.
  • Software Competence: Work with AutoCAD (and optionally Revit/BIM models) to review, verify, and suggest updates to busbar trunking routings.


  1. Stakeholder Coordination


  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, MEP consultants, and internal execution teams to ensure execution timelines and project budgets are strictly met.
  • Meetings & Representation: Attend regular site progress and project coordination meetings, serving as the technical and execution subject matter expert for the busbar trunking package.


  1. Partner & Resource Management


  • Partner (ISP) Training: Conduct onboarding and training for Installation Service Providers (ISPs) on standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and correct handling/installation of busduct components.
  • Performance Monitoring: Manage ISP progress, verify quality, and ensure the installation workforce is optimally utilized on site.


  1. Project Controls & Documentation


  • Projections & Forecasts: Provide timely projections, resource forecasts, and progress updates to the internal Project Management (PM) team.
  • Complete Documentation: Develop, compile, and maintain comprehensive project execution documentation, including Site QA/QC checklists, As-Built drawings, daily progress reports, and testing/commissioning logs.
  • Drive project closure activities :
    • Final documentation handover
    • Customer acceptance


  1. Secondary Responsibilities (Tendering Support)


  • Project Specification Review: Support the tendering vertical during the pre-bid or bidding stages by reviewing technical specifications.
  • Technical Submittals: Assist in preparing and submitting Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and compliance documentation.


  1. Ensure documentation approval and control (storage and sharing) across various project stages


  1. Continuous Improvement


  • Identify process inefficiencies
  • Support implementation of best practises on:
    • Order execution
    • Co-ordination
    • Lead time reduction
  • Support development of standard project execution methodologies

Required skills :
  • Diploma / bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited university)
  • 5-8 years of direct hands-on experience design, routing, installation, and testing of low-voltage (LV) or medium-voltage (MV) Busbar Trunking Systems
  • Active experience in project execution or site engineering will be preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or related CAD tools , including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to read and understand project execution workflows, SLD, GA drawings, technical specifications
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
