Key Account Manager - Eskom and Renewables, Southern Africa

Your Mission:
As the Key Account Manager for Eskom and Renewables, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and deepening customer intimacy with one of the most critical accounts in the region. You will lead the commercial engagement with Eskom and key renewable energy stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and delivering value through innovative power system solutions.
You will:
- Develop and execute account strategies that support long-term growth and profitability.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at Eskom and within the renewables ecosystem.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across grid modernization, energy transition, and digitalization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction, portolfio saturation across Schneider Electric and project success.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with C-level executives, government bodies, and technical teams.
- Project Leadership: Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and drive execution in a matrixed environment.

Who will you report to?
- You will report directly to the Vice President, Power Systems Anglophone Africa, and work closely with regional business leaders, technical experts, and global account teams.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within the energy sector.
- Experience working with Eskom or similar utilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of low and medium voltage equipment
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project development.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Afrikaans, Zulu) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Southern Africa as needed.
