IPC Offer Procurement Leader

The Role: IPC Offer Procurement Leader

Lead procurement activities throughout the offer lifecycle, supporting new product introductions, offer evolution, and supplier performance management. Partner with Business Units, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Suppliers to ensure competitive cost, secure supply, innovation adoption and sustainability objectives while enabling profitable business growth.

What will you do?

1. Offer Development & Project Procurement Leadership

• Lead procurement support for HMI (Human Machine Interface) and Industrial PC (IPC) offers across the product lifecycle, including New Product Introduction (NPI), offer evolution, supplier localization, resilience, and productivity initiatives across Electronic, Mechanical, and strategic manufacturing partners (OEM/ODM).
• Lead procurement activities for New Product Development (NPD), Offer Lifecycle Management (OLM), and Agile Offer Creation projects.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to define procurement requirements and sourcing strategies.
• Support achievement of project objectives related to cost, quality, supply continuity, sustainability, and time-to-market.
• Conduct cost estimation and total cost analysis during project development phases.
• Drive make-or-buy analysis and supplier selection decisions.
• Lead supplier scouting, supplier mapping, qualification, and sourcing activities.
• Ensure procurement deliverables are completed according to project milestones and governance requirements.

2. Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management

• Lead negotiations with suppliers covering cost, logistics, quality, service levels, engineering changes, sustainability expectations, and compliance requirements.
• Establish and maintain contractual agreements aligned with Schneider Electric policies and governance.
• Support procurement strategy deployment to improve competitiveness and mitigate business risks.
• Ensure agreements support long-term business growth, supply continuity, and operational excellence.

3. Supplier Performance & Lifecycle Management

• Manage supplier relationships throughout the offer lifecycle.
• Monitor and drive supplier performance in cost, delivery, quality, sustainability, innovation, and responsiveness.
• Lead productivity, cost reduction, and value engineering (QVE) initiatives.
• Drive supplier development and continuous improvement actions.
• Support supplier capacity planning and risk mitigation activities.
• Drive supplier localization, dual-sourcing, and business continuity initiatives to strengthen supply resilience and support regional growth strategies.

4. Risk, Resilience & Sustainability

• Proactively identify supply, geopolitical, financial, and operational risks impacting business continuity.
• Lead mitigation plans for critical components and strategic suppliers.
• Support resilience, business continuity, and multi-sourcing initiatives.
• Promote supplier sustainability programs aligned with Schneider Electric ESG objectives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, cybersecurity requirements, and supplier governance processes.

5. Innovation & Stakeholder Management

• Leverage supplier innovation to improve offer competitiveness and business value.
• Influence business stakeholders during sourcing strategy development and supplier selection decisions.
• Support cross-functional teams in resolving escalated procurement issues.
• Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on procurement-related matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practices.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Required

• 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Project Purchasing, Supplier Management, or related functions.
• Experience working in New Product Development (NPD), Product Lifecycle Management, or Industrial Manufacturing environments.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Business-level English communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Components, EMS, Contract Manufacturing, or OEM/ODM sourcing.
• Experience working within Agile, OLM, or project-based product development environments.
• Knowledge of cost modeling, value engineering, supplier risk management, and resilience frameworks.
• Experience managing suppliers across China and Asia Pacific regions.
• Chinese language skills are highly preferred.
