The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Finance team in the key role of Finance Business Manager. With a focus on our Pacific Zone and based in Macquarie Park, you will leverage your background to delivery exceptional support to the business to drive profitable growth, ranging from the provision of financial analysis and actionable insights through to business modeling, creation and adoption of standardised reporting, process improvement and systems analysis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide peer leadership to the Business Finance team locally and offshore
  • Ensure comprehensive, accurate and timely performance measurement and reporting within the Pacific Zone (primarily Australia and New Zealand management accounts)
  • Drive the Business Review process for local business reviews and Zone business reviews
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance results for executive leadership team
  • Provide detailed analysis of results, specialist insights and value add recommendations
  • Timely and accurate delivery of quarterly planning and forecasting processes
  • Challenge forecast inputs from other stakeholders through independent analysis and modelling e.g. analysis of impact of macroeconomic indicators on forecast
  • Analysis of business and market trends and opportunities
  • Develop strategic long term financial plans in conjunction with Strategy teams
  • Identify and qualify risks and opportunities for the business and make recommendations
  • Provide business and market modeling to support the development of business initiatives
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Acting as 2IC and deputising for the Head of Business Finance as required
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies


About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance / Accounting coupled with a relevant professional qualification (CA/CPA)
  • Previous experience in a similar senior commercial finance role within a similar large-scale organisation that comprises multiple business units
  • Proven background in collaborating with relevant business functions to achieve both operational and strategic business objectives
  • Diverse technical skills encompassing - Planning, Forecasting, Reporting, Strategy and other key areas that have a direct impact on business performance
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft applications and other related digital platforms such as PowerBI, AWS, Tableau (knowledge of SAP & Oracle is of advantage)
  • Natural communicator, leadership capabilities and a proven focus on collaborative partnerships that have shaped your success in similar organisations
