3D Environment Art Intern, Teamfight Tactics - Summer 2026 (Remote)
As part of the Environment Art team, you will channel your knowledge of concepting, modeling, level editing and texturing to craft visually compelling narratives through optimized environments that align with design and technical requirements, enhancing the game's purpose and mood. Your strong understanding of structure, form, shape language, and design will be instrumental in building immersive new worlds. Furthermore, as a senior team member, you will mentor colleagues, fostering their growth and elevating the overall quality.
As a 3D Environment Intern, you will collaborate with the Teamfight Tactics 3D environment team to create diverse and engaging scenes that align with the set's theme, immersing players into our storytelling universe. From the initial carousel, to various in-game props and smaller scenes, your work will help shape the visual identity of the next TFT set. Our workflow begins with early conceptual sketches, incorporating feedback from art, design, and product teams to refine ideas through multiple iterations. We then move to 3D tools for modeling and texture painting, ultimately integrating the final assets into the game engine to deliver an exceptional experience to players worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Create a wide variety of 3D Assets ranging from High Fantasy to Sci-Fi
- Understand game requirements to create low poly assets that are optimized for deformation and animation
- Work with various rendering styles, utilizing everything from traditional Hand Painted skills to modern PBR workflows
- Interpret concept designs while taking into account technical and design constraints such as poly counts, texture memory limits, and topology
- Collaborate with multiple other disciplines to ensure that high quality and functional assets are delivered to players
- Create new environment props for future sets and gameplay mechanics.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college, university or non degree program
- Graduating in the 2027 calendar year
- Available to work full-time hours for the 12 week internship duration
- Eligible to work in the country that you reside in during this remote program
- Experience working with Photoshop or other relevant painting/design tools
- Ability to showcase iterations and sketches in addition to the final rendered pieces.
- A strong understanding of art fundamentals such as shapes design, composition, value structure, and color harmony

Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in 2D painting abilities to do paint-overs on existing 3D models, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality stylized look.
- Experience working with a game engine such as Unity or Unreal

We will certainly be looking at your past studies and experience, but for this role, we also look for dedicated people with a personal relationship with games.
