The Manager, Clinical Data Management plays an essential role in the overall operations of the Clinical Data Management group. The incumbent will ensure their staff are trained and operating at the highest level to design and deploy clinical databases for multiple clinical imaging studies. The Manager utilizes metrics to monitor study health and employee performance, and communicates effectively with personnel at multiple levels within the organization. Particular area of management will depend on therapeutic staffing area requirements and individual skill set of the applicant.

Responsibility
Supporting Activities
Personnel Management
- Provide direct personnel management and guidance to junior staff
- Provide training to personnel on Data Management procedures
- Manage team workload and prioritization for all assigned staff
- Act as resource manager for dedicated therapeutic area
- Mentor junior staff in clinical data management best practices and facilitate positive career growth
Data Management
- Create study Data Management Plan and deployment roadmap
- Oversee and participate in the design of study CRFs and databases utilizing eCRF library
- Provide guidance as clinical database development subject matter expert
- Monitor study timelines and communicate risk
- Act as sponsor portfolio lead representative
- Oversight of multiple concurrent projects
- Facilitate study team involvement in database development
- Communicate with sponsors and internal leadership regarding study data processes, endpoints, and overall data management process
Process Oversight
- Creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide guidance on Data Management best practices and regulatory considerations
- Define new procedures and solutions for novel therapeutics and study endpoints
Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills):
- Effectively motivate and guide team members towards shared goals
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Technical project management and oversight
- Task creation and tracking via ticketing software
- Proficient with clinical data management systems
- Experience working with research support or clinical team
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Science (Biology, Medical Technology, Research Psychology, Math or Health Science) or equivalent experience in a related field
- 5-7 years practical work experience in a clinical or technical setting
- Direct personnel management experience
- Demonstrated experience in team settings to achieve goals
- Demonstrated experience with clinical data management systems
- Experience working with research support or clinical team
- English: Fluent
