Deal Desk Analyst | Remote, USA
Heavily focused on pricing, financing, and data analysis. FP&A and data science related skills are highly desired.
The Deal Desk Analyst will be responsible for performing analytics pertaining to pricing, cost, deal management, and client financing within Optiv's security technology and services business. This role will perform and develop deal analyses, validation analyses, and risk assessments, including financed and non-standard payment transactions, as well as recommend pricing and structuring actions to sales and operational leadership. This role will work cross-functionally to understand the needs of Optiv's business partners and provide solutions that help drive profit margin, cash flow, and top line growth objectives for the company. The ideal candidate will possess proven business acumen, data analytics, data modeling, and project management skills, with demonstrated ability in building and maintaining strong working relationships with Sales and other cross-functional stakeholders.
How you'll make an impact:
- Serve as a trusted adviser to sales and COS teams by providing counsel on sales strategy, deal structuring, and optimal pricing levels on large, complex, and financially sensitive transactions, including client-financed deals.
- Conduct analytics on select deals to identify opportunities for margin improvement, alternative quote configurations, and financing structures to help optimize pricing and cash flow outcomes.
- Work with data models to analyze pricing and financing scenarios and make informed recommendations to the sales team through benchmarking and scenario analysis.
- Participate in regular deal review sessions with Optiv leadership to assess appropriate pricing and financing execution on priority deals within the sales pipeline.
- Work closely with sales, finance, legal, and operations to structure and close client-financed transactions, including the creation of proposals and executable payment agreements for clients.
- Respond to inquiries from sales and COS teams to provide guidance on competitive trends, customer pricing expectations, and financing considerations.
- Complete client financial analysis to support recommendations for new deal structures, payment terms, and offers.
- Work collaboratively with billing teams to ensure a positive client experience from a collections and execution standpoint.
- Participate in special projects designed to continuously improve the deal management and financing process. Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive projects to completeness.

What we're looking for:
- Medium to advanced level Excel skills
- Experience analyzing dynamic pricing environments with unique circumstances, including financed and non-standard transactions
- Strong understanding of pricing dynamics and financing sales transactions, with awareness of long-term impact of pricing and payment structure decisions
- Ability to analyze large pools of data and create actionable and succinct recommendations
- Ability to understand and help coordinate negotiation of contractual and payment terms
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Salesforce
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, business, data science, or math-related field preferred
- 2+ years in data analytics, consulting, client services, pricing advisory, or deal desk roles preferred
- Experience working in a front line sales role or related sales support team preferred
- Experience establishing best practices and implementing new strategies preferred
