We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Project Management Analyst based out of San Diego, CA.
As a Project Management/EVMS Analyst you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. You will support the San Diego campus, multiple Business Units (BU). These BU's create the next generation of communications and signal processing systems. We take ideas from concept to working systems aboard the world's most advanced platforms right here in San Diego. We design in our campus of labs and on-site advanced manufacturing just minutes from the beach and everything for which southern California is famous. What You'll Get to Do:

Support the oversight and management of the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management

Lead status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports as a subject matter expert for Manufacturing planning and execution

Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

Develop and maintain mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients

Review weekly reports for erroneous charging, open and close charge numbers, generate work authorization files, work with business management personnel on investigation of issues, write variance reports, support ETC updates, and prepare weekly/monthly inputs

Lead weekly meetings with ability to communicate issues and needs

Generate initial Quantifiable Backup Data (QBDs) from Schedule information, working with technical leads to document lower level QBD status

Maintain QBDs with current status and transfer status information across multiple files

Support internal EVMS Surveillance Reviews to ensure compliance to the 32 guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience in program/project planning and scheduling, logistics, supply chain, and/or Engineering; Master's Degree with 6 years of related experience in program/project planning and scheduling, logistics or supply chain

Experience with EVMS and Schedule Management skills

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, and Excel (creating formulas, and pivot tables)

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required

U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry

Experience reading and extracting information for an IMS schedule

Experience with Jira or Confluence

The ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP)

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
