Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an NC Programmer to support our Clearfield Case Value Stream Process Engineering team at our Clearfield, Utah , Plant.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
• Developing, testing, and improving machining manufacturing processes
• Supporting rocket motor case machining processes on the shop floor
• Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
• Working with concurrent engineering team to create engineering, planning and other process support documents
• Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning
• Identifying tooling needs and working with tooling group to design, qualify, and implement new tools
• Preparing and presenting technical presentations to the VSET, leadership, review boards, and customers for review and approval
• Performing table top reviews
• Using SPC tools to ensure process control
• Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions

This position standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or other technical engineering discipline with 5 years' experience or 3 Years with a Master's degree. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, requiring 9 years of relevant experience
• Machining and/or NC programming experience (hands-on or engineering experience)
• CAD experience
• Vericut experience
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in lean manufacturing techniques
• Experience interpreting drawings, solid models, and specifications
• Experience writing shop planning (preferred)
• Process Controls (SPC)
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
