Transaction Lifecycle Management Data Engineering & Quality_Director_Product Support & Services IM
We are seeking a Transaction Lifecycle Management Data Engineering & Quality Director lead a global team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and transparency of reference and transactional data supporting Transaction Lifecycle Management at a leading Global Asset Manager. This role requires a senior leader with deep expertise in data engineering, data quality, and operational data management who can deliver scalable data solutions while aligning with enterprise data strategy and governance frameworks.
The successful candidate will ensure robust daily data operations across middle office platforms through driving forward-looking innovation through AI, automation, and next-generation technologies. This individual will act as a bridge between Operations, Technology, and Data Governance teams, ensuring that data is managed as a product - functional, outcome-driven, and enabling enhanced transparency across the trade lifecycle. They must have strong analytical, automation (low code) tooling, pro dev capabilities, and AI strategies and solutions, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build and foster relationships at all levels of the firm's, clients', and outsourcing agent's organization.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within the Product Support & Services IM, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:
- Manage and remediate data quality issues across middle office platforms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of reference and transactional data.
- Use industry-leading technologies like Alteryx, PowerBI, GenAI, etc., to develop tools for the operations team to pursue automation and enhance efficiency
- Maintain robust data validation and exception processes with clear monitoring and escalation.
- Oversee input/output data flows across platforms, collaborating with architecture, design, and control teams to support front-to-back transaction lifecycle processes.
- Develop and execute functional and outcome-focused data strategies, ensuring data solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with business needs.
- Provide full transparency into operational data quality, including readiness for downstream use, by implementing tiered monitoring and exception reporting.
- Enable high-touch data solutions to address complex requirements, supporting the build of more data-enabled workflows and active monitoring.
- Drive an end-to-end product mindset across the team, ensuring data management processes support seamless trade lifecycle execution.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies, re-engineer workflows, and apply AI/automation to streamline controls and reduce manual intervention.
- Develop and operationalize data quality controls and embed them into production workflows.
- Partner with the enterprise Data Strategy & Governance team to ensure global alignment with data standards, frameworks, and policies.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a global team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Innovation & Automation: Champion the use of AI, machine learning, and reconciliation utilities to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Quality, or Transaction Lifecycle Operations within Asset Management, Investment Banking, or related financial institutions.
- Strong expertise in middle office data processes, including trade, reference, and transactional data management.
- Proven ability to lead global teams and build a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
- Experience with data engineering tools, data quality platforms, and reconciliation utilities.
- Understanding of enterprise data management principles, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and design sustainable solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of applying automation, AI, or machine learning in data workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Technology, Operations, and Data Governance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
