Prime Brokerage Operations Associate

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Prime Brokerage Operations Associate to provide direct client coverage and support key post-execution processes, including equity swap allocation and equity and fixed income cash trade management, while driving client service excellence and operational efficiency.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo. This is a Prime Brokerage Operations Associate position at Associate level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Manage daily client-related functions including trade allocations, amendments, client queries and reporting within specified timelines.
  • Oversee swap trade allocations, investigate breaks and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Perform cash trade matching and settlement activities while maintaining a strong focus on risk and control.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through proactive engagement and high-quality service delivery.
  • Partner with global stakeholders and operational groups to address client needs and resolve issues effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency through root cause analysis and operational enhancements.
  • Participate in straight through processing initiatives and system enhancement projects.
  • Adhere to established controls, identify operational risks and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Experience in financial services operations.
  • Experience in client servicing and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of risk management, controls and escalation processes.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in using analytical and investigative skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with local and global colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA or macro experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
