Wireless Design Validation Engineer

Our team at Meta, is looking to hire a Wireless Engineer, you will be a senior technical expert within Meta's Wearables team. In this role, you will provide leadership and expertise in the development, integration, and optimization of wireless technologies across a diverse product portfolio. The position requires deep technical knowledge of different wireless systems, experience with a range of wireless protocols and standards, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.

Wireless Design Validation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of advanced wireless strategies, including RF performance, conformance, regulatory, and design verification, across multiple complex projects.
• Oversee wireless system activities, ensuring compliance with global standards (e.g., 3GPP, IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth SIG, EMVco) and regional regulatory requirements.
• Drive pre-certification and official certification processes for wireless products, including test execution, debugging, and coordination with certification bodies.
• Lead performance evaluation and risk identification for wireless hardware during early development and manufacturing stages.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, regulatory, and certification teams to troubleshoot issues, verify fixes, and ensure product readiness.
• Mentor and guide engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Represent the wireless engineering function in cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and promoting best practices across the organization.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of relevant experiences in wireless engineering, including RF systems, test development, system validation, wireless certification, regulatory compliance and/or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of wireless standards and certification processes ((3GPP, IEEE 802.11, BTSIG, EMVco, etc.)
• Proven leadership in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills

• 8+ years of relevant experiences in wireless system validation, RF parametric testing, or wireless certification
• Proven experience with wireless certification processes and launching wireless consumer products globally
• Advanced proficiency in test plan development, execution, and data analysis for developing and validating new test infrastructure and supporting the automation of wireless testing processes
• Experience with wireless test infrastructure and automation
• Experience working with global teams and supporting products for international markets
• Mandarin and English language proficiency
